There are several opportunities to volunteer your time for Mountain Home. Considering the impact it will have on a new family just getting started with a new life, it’s always time well spent.
Internships. Interning at Mountain Home is a great opportunity for hands-on social work experience, spanning areas of study such as psychology, sociology, nursing and other fields.
Administrative Volunteer. One of our priorities is staying ahead of our administrative responsibilities. To do this, we need help. Administrative volunteers have these responsibilities:
- Provide clerical support
- Work as a receptionist
- Process donations
- Greet donors and visitors
Public Volunteer. We are always looking for public volunteers who can act as liaisons between Mountain Home and the surrounding community.

Maintenance Volunteer. The work of our maintenance volunteers is crucial in providing a safe, clean and comfortable home. These volunteers’ primary responsibilities are:
- Deliveries and pick-ups
- Home repairs
- Grounds upkeep (and oversee group work days)
- Construction
Education Volunteer. Education is a priority for Mountain Home residents. But they can’t do it alone.
